Shana Lutker

Shana Lutker (b. 1978, New York) is an LA based artist and writer. Her recent sculptural installation, “The Bearded Gas”, at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Transformer Station, was also based the fight that is the subject of her Performa Commission. Objects constructed from chrome, leather, plaster, lead, and wood, each embodied an element of the tension, absurdity, ambition and aesthetics of this theatrical confrontation. Solo exhibitions include CCA Wattis Institute, San Francisco, and SOMA, Mexico City. Group exhibitions include the, SculptureCentre, New York, New Jerseyy, Basel, and Moscow Museum of Modern Art. Lutker’s work was included in the 2008 California Biennial at Orange County Museum of Art.
